1. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account credentials for our service, and any onboarding details you choose to submit. We may also collect athlete data from connected services, including Garmin and Strava, such as activities, distances, pace, heart-rate data, recovery indicators, competition targets, device-derived health metrics, and training history.
2. How We Use Your Information
RunCoach uses this information to operate the platform, generate personalized AI-driven analysis, build adaptive training plans, power dashboard views, improve projections, and communicate product updates or access information. We may also use aggregate or de-identified information to improve product performance, monitor system quality, and understand how athletes use the service.
3. Connected Accounts and Imports
If you connect Garmin, Strava, or another third-party platform, you authorize RunCoach to access the data you choose to share through that provider. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the provider's own terms and privacy policies. We only receive the information those providers make available to us through your authorization and our integration settings.
4. AI Processing
AI is central to the RunCoach experience. Training data, recovery signals, competition context, and planning inputs may be processed by AI systems to create athlete-specific insights, recommendations, pacing projections, and training blocks. We design this processing to improve the specificity and usefulness of coaching output. AI-generated content may still contain errors or require human judgment, especially in high-stakes health or performance decisions.
5. Legal Bases and Purpose Limitation
Where applicable, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, comply with legal obligations, and, where required, rely on your consent. We aim to use athlete data only for product, security, support, compliance, and communication purposes that are compatible with the RunCoach service.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share information with service providers who help us host the product, secure the platform, analyze product usage, send communications, or run AI processing. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction. We do not sell your personal training data to data brokers or ad networks.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain user accounts, support analytics and security operations, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on the data category, whether you remain an active user, and whether deletion is required for legal or operational reasons.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. No internet or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and connected-service authorizations.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also be able to disconnect third-party services such as Garmin or Strava through your account settings or by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tags, and similar technologies to operate the site, understand product usage, remember preferences, and improve the experience. A more detailed cookie notice or preference center may be made available as the public product launches.
11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and work with service providers that support those obligations.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date above and provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means the updated policy applies.
